A2Wind 45 m rotor blade full scale static tests terminated

at BAODING HUAY WIND TURBINE BLADE RESEARCH CENTER CHINA

DEWI-OCC witnessed the tests under GL-2010 regulations

Mr. Kopp, DEWI-OCC test engineer mentions "....A2WIND has done a good job and the tests were smooth and reliable....".

Mr. Picinich, CEO A2WIND , “.....the completed full scale tests will help our customer to get the final certification for their blade and start production.......”

A2Wind 45 m rotor blade design approved by DEWI-OCC

Friday 3rd, February 2012, Mr. Kurz, Technical Manager at A2WIND, received the certification report  according GL-2010 from Mr. Kröning, Managing Director at DEWI-OCC

This is the first rotor blade certification by DEWI-OCC for A2Wind.

Mr. Kurz expressed great appreciation for the service performed by the DEWI-OCC experts.

Mr. Kröning confirms that "....A2WIND gave us good documentation, that made the evaluation possible in very short time....".

The completed certification forms an excellent foundation for further cooperation.

Wind Power Asia 2011

A2Wind will be represented at Wind Power Asia 2011 from 22 to 24 June 2011, in Beijing. We would be delighted to welcome you to M19-2 in hall 2, at the joint International Pavilion exhibition stand. We are looking forward to your visit!

A2WIND is going East

After several visits to the People's Republic of China and intensive negotiation A2WIND GmbH has won a contract for the design of wind turbine rotorblades from a major manufacturer of wind turbines and rotor blades. It includes the complete engineering of a rotor blade from aerodynamcis to load calculations and even certification to international standards.

The agreement about development of 2 rotor blades for 2MW class, was signed on 25th of December 2010. This is a strong commitment from both parties for their  future cooperation in the field of renewable energy. China is the biggest and fastest growing market for wind energy.  A2WIND GmbH has an office near Shanghai at Hangzhou in the Zheijang Province.

On 28.01.2011 the business company A2Wind GmbH was established.

Dr. Josef Mendler, CEO A²Wind, presented at the Wind Turbine Manufacturing Conference from 7. to 9. December in Düsseldorf, Germany, the lecture Structural Design Optimisation of Wind Turbine Rotor Blades considering Manufacturing Costs. The newly developed optimization process for rotorblades with respect to structural design and costs opens new considerations for blade design.
